You have a story to tell.  A work of fiction, perhaps, or your autobiography.  Maybe your expertise in a particular field of work is something about which you’d like to write a self-help book, but you haven’t the time to stop being that expert and start being a writer.   And that is where I can help.

Choosing a ghostwriter means more than just finding someone to put the words inside your head on paper.  You’re choosing someone with whom you will collaborate, someone who will do her best to inspire you, motivate you, organize your thoughts, and offer new ways to present your ideas.  A good ghostwriter doesn’t write a book for you … he or she writes a book through you.

How do we accomplish this?  Well, typically, our relationship begins when you contact me.  We will learn if we communicate well before we even begin to discuss whether or not we will work together.  I will feel out your passion for the project, and you will decide if I am the right fit for what you have in mind.  If all that goes well, I will send you a non-disclosure statement, a typical agreement, and a quote for all agreed upon services.

Fees for services:

• Business or self-help book, 75,000 to 100,000 words

$15,000

• Autobiography or non-fiction, 75,000 to 100,000 words

$20,000

• Novel, 75,000 to 100,000 words

$25,000

• Additional fee for going over 100,000 words, per 25,000 words

$5,000

I ghostwrite your book based on a flat fee with an initial down payment.  The remainder of the fee is spread over equal monthly payments.  If, at any time, you decide the agreement is not working out, we simply terminate the agreement and you don’t pay the next monthly installment.  All completed work and any research materials and rough drafts belong to you, and I retain all portions of the fee already paid for my services.  My fee covers all aspects of writing your book.  This includes research, interviews, writing, editing, rewrites, and travel time, if necessary.  It does not include travel expenses and lodging.

This is your book.  Your words.  You have the final say regarding content and style.  Additionally, I do not expect credit, unless you choose to give it, and I do not participate in or receive royalties or other compensation outside our agreed upon fee.
