“Through our great good fortune, in our youth our hearts were touched with fire. It was given to us to learn at the outset that life is a profound and passionate thing.” ~ Oliver Wendell Holmes
I say it in that way and reference that particular quote because I don’t believe in luck. I believe that, on occasion, fortune smiles upon us, but that, for the most part, we are the creators of our own fortunes, be they good or poor, and we can choose to passively accept, or actively strive to improve.
Every now and again, I feel compelled to reflect upon my continued good fortune. I have chosen to do so today. ~beaming~ I’m not going to lay it all out here for the world. Instead, if you’re reading this, I ask that you take a moment to think about your own “great good fortune” … and then find a way to give someone else a reason to do the same.
Because I’m willing to wager someone considers you his or her great good fortune. ~kisses for the world~
